Dhiraj Kumar V Shaw was born in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, into a modest and hardworking family. His father, Mr. Vishwanath Shaw, served as a Lab Attendant at PMCH Dhanbad while managing small businesses during mornings and evenings to support the household. His mother, Mrs. Kamla Devi, managed domestic responsibilities and contributed to the family’s income whenever required.
The youngest among eight siblings, Dhiraj grew up witnessing the sacrifices of his father and brothers, who undertook small-scale businesses to sustain the family. These early experiences instilled in him values of hard work, perseverance, and responsibility.
He became the only member of his family to complete his Board Examinations, Graduation, and a Master’s degree:
During his MBA, Dhiraj met Ritika Chauhan, who would later become his wife, business partner, and co-founder.
After working for nearly eight years in the pharmaceutical machinery industry, Dhiraj faced a management dispute during the COVID-19 pandemic over work-from-home arrangements, which led him to resign. He took a two-month break to reflect on his career and decided to build his own business.
At the same time, Dhiraj and Ritika learned they were expecting their first child, Kyra. With Ritika already resigned and Dhiraj stepping away from his job, the couple took a high-risk, life-changing decision. They viewed this as destiny Kyra’s arrival marked the beginning of new opportunities.
In August 2020, Dhiraj founded Synovatic India Machinery Pvt. Ltd. with Ritika and long-time collaborator Mr. M.H. Chaudhary. Starting from scratch, Synovatic grew into an ISO-certified company specializing in pharmaceutical and process machinery for the pharma, APIs, and chemicals industries.
He also co-founded Kyra International Pvt. Ltd. with Ritika, focusing on the cosmetic and personal care industries. Together, these ventures positioned Dhiraj as a global entrepreneur. In just five years, he travelled to 15+ countries, expanding business opportunities and building international networks.

When Synovatic launched, operations began from home, later shifting to a rented flat with 3-4 employees. Today, the company has grown to a team of nearly 40, built on trust, loyalty, and innovation.

Dhiraj is married to Ritika Dhiraj Kumar (née Ritika Chauhan), originally from Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh. Ritika holds a degree in Economics and an MBA from Suryadatta Institute of Management, Pune. Having studied in small-town schools, she rose to become a Director of Synovatic and Kyra International, known for her ambition, kindness, and unwavering support.

The couple also extends support to their extended family by educating and mentoring their elder sister’s daughters, Ruhi and Suhani, while guiding relatives in personal and professional growth.
